You will need to give the name, address and telephone number of the person who will be accompanying the child to the departure airport as well as of the person who will be picking the child up on arrival. In both cases - departure and arrival - the accompanying adult will be required to produce proof of identity by showing a valid passport or national ID card.
Children travelling alone are escorted by our Airport staff and handed over to our Cabin crew on board. They are boarded first on the plane and are allocated a suitable seat so that are under our crew’s supervision. They are also supervised by our Ground staff until handed over to the responsible designated party at the destination airport.
Reservations for children travelling alone are accepted on a priority basis as there is a limited number of unaccompanied minors allowed to travel on each flight. You can check availability when booking a child fare ticket online or by calling the AEGEAN Call Centre before the trip.

*Bookings through the Call Centre have an extra charge of 20 EUR.
*Changes of tickets for children travelling alone, are applicable only through our Call Center, there is a €20 service fee for ticket reissue for domestic and international flights, which applies to all categories of fares.How it works?Before flying:
Before making a reservation for a child travelling alone, please check the regulations applying to the countries of departure, transit and arrival and make sure that you have all necessary travel documents required. It is your responsibility to check the entry and travel requirements for the destination countries as well as check the expiration dates of all documents required and renew them, if necessary.
Book your child’s ticket online for all flights operated by AEGEAN or Olympic Air or through the AEGEAN Call Centre by requesting the Unaccompanied Child service.
The ’Declaration of parent/guardian” form must be filled out when handing over the unaccompanied minor into our care at the airport of departure. This form contains the child’s personal information and travel details as well as information about the adults who will drop off and pick up the child.
In order to save time at the airport, you can download the form here and fill it out. Please note that you should print 3 copies for each flight and for each child.
At the airport:
You will need to bring the copies of the ’Declaration form’ at the airport check-in counter on the day of departure for signing. We kindly ask you to allow additional time to complete the copies (at least an hour and a half before the flight departure). The copies must remain with the child during the flight.
You will also need to bring the following:
*Proof of age and identification for the child travelling alone, such as passport, identity card or other official document (e.g. birth certificate or health certificate).
*Your own passport or a government-issued photo ID when dropping off the child travelling alone.The adult picking up the unaccompanied minor should also show a passport or a government-issued photo ID.
Our Airport staff will check your identification document, confirm that all contact details are clearly provided in the Declaration Form and provide your child the special envelope for the documents needed throughout their journey.
Our Airport staff will meet your child at the check-in desk (at the Athens and Thessaloniki airports there are special check-in counters exclusively for special services) and be with them all the way through the airport security and the departure gate for handover to our Cabin crew on board. Please note that the adult dropping off the child must remain at the airport until they are notified by our Airport staff that the flight has departed.

If a flight’s schedule is changed, delayed or cancelled, or if irregularities occur, we will call the contacts available in the Declaration Form and arrange an alternate flight, if necessary.
